Tell us about your life journey in brief?

I am an independent freelance filmmaker and looking my future in film industry. My journey was started in class 12th when I moved to graphic designer where I learnt 3D animation, Dramatics and cinematographic effects. After that I started thinking of amazing stories and making creative & professional movies.

What prompted you to become a filmmaker?

I am film freak person and love to watch films even Italians, french and Spanish and all other kind of films inspires me. I was working in a startup as a graphic designer and also used to make videos and trailers as a part of job. From that time only I always get ideas for short films, so I decided to pursue it full time. I made few movies and quit my job. I am planning to go to Mumbai, I have friends there and I am planning to do filmmaking professionally.

How many/ What kind of movies you have made?

I make all kinds of movie from fiction to sci fi to documentary to Android game trailers. A short film ‘Unknown’ which I made is kind of a sci-fi film. An idea came to me and I decided to work on it. I executed the entire project on my own and it took me 3 months to complete the film. If you notice, there is no moving camera used, the whole film is made with still camera and it was a one man show 🙂

What is your dream/ vision?

I love to make films and i want my films to be world famous. I am a creative person and films are the most effective way to show my concept and imagination.

What difficulties you face as an independent filmmaker?

Its a very interesting and rare question, actually it is very tough to handle all things like pre production, production, post production and manage all kinds of film stuffs in a stipulated time. but its ok, struggle is always there but i love this job and that’s why i am here and doing it. I got rejected by NSD twice and by FTII once but I will do what I have to do. You have to keep working as no one can predict the future.

Any fun/ memorable incident?

Lots of incidents. There are many spontaneous funny situations which get created during shooting and rehearsals that make you laugh. During shooting of my short movie WHATNEXT 2011, in the climax scene, my friend Jimmy suppose to come out from the front door and has to deliver a dialogue ”what the hell happened” but he tried 22 times and in  23rd take he finally got that shot, that was really funny and memorable.

What advice you’d like to give to someone who is interested/newbee in filmmaking?

I am new too and I myself need to learn and gain lots of experience. I would only like to say to my fellow filmmakers is that you must be creative and passionate about films. I believe in concepts, if you have good concept then you will definitely get a good opportunity.

And finally he signs off with a recommendation that keep smiling and watch his short films 🙂
