Tell us about your life journey in brief?
Since childhood I never had a problem with study until it is Engineering. But it is the place where my passion about film making born. I used to enjoy when my seniors rag me as they say that I am good at acting and imitating others. So I got to know that Iam a good actor. My interest in Film making started when one of my friends Rajashekar made a film about Btech life expressing farewell and dedicated to my seniors. That film made me emotional, inspired me and also made me think that film making is not something related to the people who choose their career in films .Then I made my first shortfilm “Biskit” a comedy short film which got tremendous response from my college and local friends. I am done with my Btech and pursuing Masters in US now. I just want to get in to every field that i was interested because I like people when they call me “All Rounder”.That interest made me a good actor, dancer, cricketer, guitarist, film maker.
What prompted you to become a filmmaker?
Christopher Nolan, his ideas are beyond the world and out of thoughts. His “Inception” is a revolution in the industry. It made me think that Direction is not just striving for different angles, its like building typical thoughts that achieved from sleepless nights.
Tell us about your team, if you have?
Unfortunately, i don’t have any team to work with. I act in my own movies, write my stories, concept and edit my movie. But the encouragement from my family and friends made me recognize my inner talent. my childhood friends Rajaram and Srikanth encouraged and helped me alot when I am out of resources. They acted in my film “The Depressed”. I would like to thank Kiran, my friend and my director of few shortfilms which i played a lead role in his every silent short film. He exposed my talent in the other way.
How many/ What kind of movies you have made?
I made 3 films.”Biskit” is a comedy shortfilm about student wars. “The Depressed” is a message oriented short, its about how depression kills you. The third is the the recent one “Movies make my day” a comedy video . Its about “what happens when people get inspired for every movie and every scene they watch”.
My films as an actor are “Helping Hands”, “Vote for Democracy”, “Clean India”.
What is your dream/ vision?
When you tried to change the mood of the people by watching your movies, you are successful as director. But, if your film inspires someone to live positive then “You are the creator”. I want to become a creator for well being.
What difficulties you face as an independent filmmaker?
Contacts and budget. When i start writing a story for my film I think of what all the resources I have. when you want to portray a rich character in the film you probably want some big things, as a result you prefer to remove the character and sometimes the scene and end the movie itself.
What inspires you or keeps you going?
Applause is a great thing which cheers you up. And the other one is encouragement. Each and every individual in this world has unique story. The things you do in your routine life is like somebody is filming you. Films can make you strong, cheerful, depressed, emotional. You have to choose what makes people happy.
Any fun/ memorable incident?
I shot the whole video “Movies make my day” using my Acer laptop Camera. In one scene I have to terribly fear watching a horror movie. When I was recording my video looking my laptop screen, a guy entered my room to fix the stove (which I have registered a complaint on the other day) who is watching me giving awkward expressions infront of laptop. He ran for his life, when I screamed after watching him.
What advice you’d like to give to someone who is interested/newbie in film making?
Film making is the one platform where you can show your view to the world. Remember to make it meaningful because your films has no expiry.
Anything else you’d like to share
My sisters and my mom are my best critics. They always encourage me whatever I do. I am just a normal unrecognized 24 year male without them.
